A showcase of Landscape Architecture in Minneapolis, MN

ASLA is excited to host a community of local Minneapolis students who will get to experience DREAM BIG through a range of interactive learning activities at the conference. DREAM BIG with Design Live is an in-person demonstration of the exciting virtual program held in 2021 and 2022.

Programming will be held on Saturday, October 28, beginning with student participation in the General Session, then the DREAM BIG Zone for hands-on design activities, and ending with a tour of the entire exhibit hall where students will learn about design materials and to try out some of the fun structures, like playground equipment.

Programming will include:

General Session:

• Youth climate activists at the General Session.
• On-stage performance of “The Big Idea” with Billy Jonas, who produced ASLA’s new kid song “The Big Idea”.

 Showcase:

• Dedicated and interactive learning space for students right on the EXPO floor!
• Live sketch demonstrations by ASLA members featured in the 2021 and 2022 DREAM BIG virtual conferences.
• Live Minecraft Design Event
• Participation in design learning around conference themes including Biodiversity, Climate Action, Sustainable Landscapes, Urban Design, and Pollinators.
